What is muay thai?
It maximises simple movements you can produce from both your upper and lower body and translates these into power and accuracy for kicks and punches. It is sometimes called Thai Kickboxing for this reason.
Today it is one of the most popular martial arts to train in, and athletes who practice MMA often pair it with wrestling or grappling disciplines like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to supplement their ground skills with stand up striking.
It is also very beginner friendly because its focus is on simple, but efficient techniques that even newcomers can quickly learn.
